Secret Weapon's patented Spectastic recoil cords are a wonderful addition to the dropshot anglers armoury. These little elastic cords act like a bungee, allowing you to impart more movement to soft plastics fished on a dropshot rig. Not only do they help bring your lures to life, they also make it easier to work them without dragging the weight along the bottom. The Spectra wrap that is loosely coiled around each cord's rubber core, gives them strength whilst retaining maximum elasticity (the Spectra is combined with green cotton fibres to help camouflage the cord). Each cord is approximately 5" (12cm) in length, which is a handy size for most situations. Bear in mind that they will stretch up to three times that length during use.

To use, simply attach one end of the Spectastic cord to your dropshot weight and grip the other end in one of the swivels provided, which is then tied to the line below your hook (see photo). Once in the water, keep slight tension on your line between rod tip and weight, then start working the lure with subtle movements of the rod tip. The elastic does tend to magnify any movement, so even tiny twitches will register on your chosen lure. It's easy to get soft plastics trembling and vibrating with very little effort. 

These cords are best suited to close range work or vertical dropshotting from boats, although casting moderate distances is possible with care. We recommend using weights of 10g - 21g with the 5" cords. Each pack contains 24pcs plus 2 x 15mm Grip Swivels.
