Mustad's nickel plated, extra strong, open shank double hooks are great as replacements for trebles on spoons, spinners and other lures for use in weedy or snaggy swims. They can drastically reduce snagging but still offer an excellent hook up ratio. The open shank means that they can be added or removed in seconds. Another advantage of double hooks is that trailer grubs and worms can be easily threaded on to the hook shank, they are also very effective when used as 'stingers'.
